Welcome to **jfbmusic.net** – the home of **Jürgen "Fred" Becker** and a place where you can explore his bands, projects, and musical journey.
**Fred's** story began when he was around 14 or 15 years old and picked up the guitar for the first time. His first band, **Savage**, was formed together with a few school friends. Like most school bands, it was more about having fun than making history. Unfortunately, no recordings from that time have survived—and perhaps that's not such a bad thing.
After completing his military service, **Fred** joined **Fallen Angel**, another local band that marked the next step in his musical development.
Following a few other short-lived projects, he became a member of **Bornchild**, his first band with a truly professional approach. The band recorded several demos and even supported **Magnum** at one of their shows. Despite the promising start, **Bornchild** eventually called it a day. Around the same time, **Fred** launched his own project, **Darling**, which unfortunately never gained much momentum.
After the end of **Bornchild**, several former members teamed up with other friends to form **Bar-Fly**. This became **Fred's** most successful band to date. **Bar-Fly** released a full-length album, a self-titled EP, and two singles. The band played hundreds of live shows across Germany, sharing stages with well-known artists, performing in front of audiences of several thousand people, and made it even in a German TV show. However, after disagreements with their record company, the band declined an offer from a major label and eventually decided to split up.
For almost ten years after **Bar-Fly**, **Fred** hardly touched a guitar. That changed when he returned to songwriting and recording as a solo artist, resulting in the release of his mini album **My Times** in 2014. Inspired by making music again, he began reconnecting with musicians and forming new bands—this time with one simple goal: to have fun.
This led to the formation of **Schacht X**, which released two singles, and later to joining the band **Past MD**.
Today, music is all about creativity, collaboration, and enjoying the process. Alongside his bands, **Fred** continues to work on a variety of projects with musicians from different backgrounds. As long as it's fun, there will always be another idea waiting to become reality.
